Luxury swimwear brand Vizcaya Swimwear sent pulses rising during their luxury swimwear calendar shoot for 2022. Among the 12 models chosen, from hundreds who casted, MAXIM and Victoria’s Secret model Mischaela Elkins took the coveted “Miss September” spot. The final debut of the swimwear designer’s chosen 12 models as the 2022 faces of the brand was showcased at a VIP event during Miami Swim Week.
Competition was intense between the hundreds upon hundreds of models who casted for the Vizcaya Swimwear annual event. An endeavor for models that isn’t unlike the once famed annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show’s annual castings for its prime time runway presentation. One of the many attributes that led Mischaela to beat hundreds of other models to be selected for the luxury swimsuit calendar – was her raw shots after a scorching photoshoot on location ocean side for the brand.
Shooting in 100 degree Fahrenheit weather during an on beach heat advisory, Mischaela proved why she’s sought after by luxury swimwear designers like Agua Bendita and Beach Bunny Swimwear, MAXIM, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue media, and Victoria’s Secret – she is equally photogenic and hardworking. Her swim shoot for Vizcaya showcased a retro bikini look gone modern and fresh; despite the heat she looked cool and collected, preening for the camera and draping herself elegantly over lush palm trees.
The fashion & commercial model has seen success in both print and runway and is regarded in the media as one of the “indigenous supermodels”. Before posing for Vizcaya Swimwear she worked with brands ranging from AQUASCUTUM to Vera Wang in the fashion category and has also found success in the beauty, fine jewelry, and couture evening and bridal categories. She’s proven she’s so much more than a swimwear model, and is one of the versatile faces and figures in the same category as her fellow MAXIM and Victoria’s Secret model alums Frida Aasen and Irina Shayk.
